Now onto today’s blog post because this recent workshop definitely came with a little behind-the-scenes chaos, a last-minute weather pivot, lots of furniture moving, and thankfully… a very happy ending 😂

This recent craft workshop was a special one for me. A portion of the proceeds from the workshop was donated to support medical mission efforts in my beloved Colombia through the organization Coamed Foundation, and I really appreciate being able to use my workshops as a way to contribute to meaningful causes while bringing people together through creativity.

The original plan was to host the workshop outside on my patio, which is where I normally host many of my workshops. Everything was planned and ready to go… until Florida weather decided to completely change things at the last minute 😅
As the forecast kept showing rain, I had to quickly pivot and move the entire setup indoors. The final setup ended up being in my family room.
To make that work, I used my bedroom as temporary storage and moved furniture out of the way so I could fully clear and transform the family room into the workshop space. It turned into a full house shuffle for a bit, but it made everything possible.
At one point, the family room was completely cleared, my bedroom was full of furniture, and I was just hoping everything would come together smoothly once set up began 😂

Thankfully, my family helped me move furniture, rearrange everything, and bring the whole setup to life. It was truly a team effort, and I’m very grateful for that support.
Once everything was set up and everyone arrived, the space felt cozy, welcoming, and perfect for a creative evening together. Even with the unexpected change of location, it all came together in a really beautiful way.
One of my favorite parts of this workshop experience was adding a small hosting touch for everyone attending. Each guest was welcomed with a glass of wine and a simple selection of nibbles that I put together myself to complement the creative evening.
I love these little details because they help set a relaxed, cozy tone and make the whole experience feel more like a gathering than just a workshop. If you’d like to recreate something similar at home, I’ve linked some of the plastic glasses and charcuterie toppers I used so you can easily put together your own version for a craft night, girls’ night, or casual get-together.
Another detail that truly elevated the overall setup of this workshop was the gold lamp I placed on the table. It added such a warm, soft glow to the space and instantly made everything feel more intentional and cozy once the evening started. The soft lighting from the lamp gave the table such a pretty touch and honestly helped pull the whole setup together without doing too much.

I received some questions about the supplies I used for this workshop, so I wanted to share everything here in one place in case you’d like to recreate something similar for your own craft night, workshop, girls’ night, or creative gathering.

The project for the workshop was a beautiful Spring-themed wood set that guests assembled themselves using Gorilla glue and then painted in their chosen colors to add an extra personal touch. I placed paper towels at each station and ended up upgrading the look with these gold paper towel holders, my table looked so cute with those.
I also used clear mini trays to keep everything organized for each guest, and added black gloves and teal silicone mats to help with the painting so everything stayed neat and easy to work on without overcomplicating the setup.
I added my logo using UV DTF decals on these craft storage containers and DTF transfers on the aprons to give the workshop a more branded and personalized look. If you need UVDTF or DTF transfers, feel free to visit my website to get yours and elevate your guests' experience!
Other items I used: folding tables with white disposable table covers, and heat guns to help speed up the drying process.
This workshop was a great reminder that sometimes plans shift quickly, but with flexibility (and a lot of furniture moving 😂), you can still create a space that feels intentional and welcoming.
Thank you so much to everyone who attended and continues supporting my small business and creative workshops. Your support truly means so much.
xoxo,
Lili
